Pond Snails live in fresh water ponds and other water ways. There are many different families. They are found throughout the world in various habitats, They will migrate to a open outdoor ponid naturally but in case you want to start your own stock or wish them in an indoor cold water aquarium we have a very healthy breeding stock available most of the year apart from Winter. They can be troublesome by eating valuable plants so you may have to control them once you have a could of starter snails. However they are fantastic for eating debris, waste fish poo, and algae in ponds etc thus helping to improve the environment for your fish. Our stock are particularly hardy being captive breed in the Scottish highlands, but do go dormant in deep winter.
